I was asked by the client to transform a neglected and overgrown section of the garden into a vibrant, family-friendly space designed for both play and entertaining.
The existing garden with many mature shrubs and trees, paths, pond and greenhouse, had become overgrown and inaccessible. So much so, that this sunny part of the garden was never used or enjoyed.
The first challenge was to open up the space while retaining privacy from neighbouring houses. The second to create a family friendly space that could also be used for entertaining in both dry & wet weather.
Key features of the design included –
An outdoor patio for entertaining
A covered outdoor kitchen area
Bespoke places for children’s play including a sunken trampoline, climbing wall, blackboard & rope seat.
The design was signed off in 2025, with the family set to bring the vision to life in the near future.
