2025 - Garden upgrade, Belfast
The client had recently inherited their parents home, an urban detached house in Belfast where they have lived for over 30 years. The family had build numerous features within the garden and planted their favourite plants creating an individual and personal space with lots of memories.
The brief was to redesign the garden to create a modern and welcoming space that would appeal to prospective buyers ahead of the property being sold.
The goal was to create a simple yet striking, low-maintenance space with broad appeal — thoughtfully designed to attract a range of buyers, including young families. Key features of the design include 3 separate terraces with two sets of wide, staggered steps connecting each space. The rear terrace includes a lawn and garden shed, retaining some existing mature trees. The middle terrace includes a sheltered patio bordered with raised beds of evergreen shrubs & herbs. The lower terrace with circular patio is accessed from the sunroom and benefits from the morning sun. Low maintenance and simplicity was crucial for the client.
The design was completed in 2025, with the owner planning to implement the scheme before the property comes to market.
