Our Approach
The Approach - 'A personal client led service'
Step 1 – Free Initial Consultation
We begin with a relaxed, no-obligation meeting at your property. This is an opportunity for me to visit your garden, hear your ideas and begin to understand what you are looking for — with no pressure and no cost.
Step 2: Concept Design
Costed Client Brief –The client brief outlines the scope of the project, associated costs & timeline.
Client Questionnaire – This is a detailed review of client needs – we discuss the garden in detail, and encourage clients to think about their needs, likes & dislikes, maintenance, ideas & budget etc.
Site Analysis – This involves a detailed analysis of your garden and includes aspect, soil, moisture, wind, existing features, views & landscape settings.
Mood Board – The Mood Board aims to capture the look, feel and direction of your new garden. This is shared and discussed with you before any further design work begins.
Concept Plan – The Concept Plan is an initial design of your new garden in full colour in 2D – i.e. from above in plan view. Like the one shown here.
Step 3: Full Design Package
This stage involves the development of a Full Design pack that includes:
- Final Design Plan
- Measurement Plan
- Hard Landscape Plan & Schedule
- Planting Plan & Schedule
- Lighting Plan & Schedule (if required)
The design package is ready to give to your contractor to bring your garden to life!
The Ethos
Good garden design should feel like a natural extension of its surroundings — not imposed upon the landscape but woven into it. Every project begins with listening; understanding who you are, how you live, and what you want from your outdoor space.
Sustainability & biodiversity sit at the heart of everything. Where possible, native planting is incorporated into the design alongside reclaimed & natural materials that reflect sound ethical design principles. The result is a garden that is not only beautiful, but a garden that works with the local natural and built environment.
